Crane Arts Old School: The White Space
In exactly one week from today, ReSourceArts will go from being a dream, a hope, a vision... to a reality. Our launch event, ReSource Philadelphia, is a week-long Pop-Up Community Arts event happening July 29-August 5.
And we couldn't be more excited.
In exactly one week from today, The White Space (see above photo) will be turned into a center for emerging and established artists of all forms to share their crafts with the community.
And we couldn't be more excited.
Each day of the event offers unique programming that showcases these artists at their finest – from creating a four-course Korean-fusion meal to offering mini workshops in genres from Capoira to Zumba, from an open mic night where the audience helps to craft the poem to a dance battle and party – this event offers something for everyone. And while each day is intentionally unique, the one thing they each have in common is that they all promise to offer fun, festivities, and freedom... of expression! A gallery show, including a commissioned mural by Chroma Dolls artists Ali Williams and Kala Hagopian (see photo below) will be on display all week. All artwork will be for sale via our auction, which begins at our Opening Reception Monday, July 30 and ends at our First Friday event Friday, August 3.
Tickets for all events are reasonably priced (from free - $60) and all ticket sales help to support the fantastic artists performing and showcasing in RSA events.
Did we mention we couldn't be more excited?
We really, truly, hope you will join us. Because the best part of this whole thing is what happens when we all join together - to enjoy, celebrate, and create. Without you, it just won't be the same.
